VDL Containersystemen will be at the IAA Commercial Vehicles trade fair in Hanover from Thursday 20 to Thursday 27 September. In addition to a skiploader with a locked load and other VDL swap body systems, our hooklift truck will certainly be an eye-catcher. Apart from the fact that this vehicle is equipped with all our optimized developments, such as cylinder measuring sensors, a refined version of the super-fast DCP valve and a hooklift system that is adhesively bonded to the chassis, what the vehicle is carrying will be the true attention-getter.

MINI Countryman

After all, the hook will be holding a brand new MINI Cooper S Countryman from the VDL Nedcar factory in Born. This passenger car was specially built in Renewi's house style colours. As a symbol of the many years of cooperation between Renewi and VDL, on Wednesday 19 September, the IAA press day in Hanover, the key of the MINI Countryman was presented to Stijn Jürgens, category manager of Renewi. The car will be used by Renewi as a pool car for the employees at the Eindhoven branch.

Renewi, created through a merger of Shanks and Van Gansewinkel, has been VDL's preferred supplier for years. Renewi handles the collection and recycling of the waste at VDL sites. VDL, in turn, has been supplying Renewi with demountable container systems for many years.
